Katin, California’s original surf company and lifestyle brand, is excited to debut the Fall’18 collection at the Agenda Show on January 4 -5, at the Long Beach Convention Center.

In celebration of Katin’s relentless passion for adventure, the crew hopped in our 1967 SportsVan and trailed up to where the forest meets the ocean at one of California’s classic surf spots in Santa Cruz for the Fall ’18 collection. Venturing along the coasts of Northern California, the Katin crew seized the opportunity to explore the unexplored. Capturing the versatile West Coast terrain of Santa Cruz for the Fall ‘18 line, Katin created an extensive line of graphic tees and printed woven shirt motifs, in company with a contemporary collection of flannels and strategically sewn striped knit tees.

From collection classics like the cloud wash graphic tees and the forever-fan-favorite hybrid trunks, the Fall ’18 line also introduces new style staples like the mineral wash tees and custom striped beanies, as well as, eye-catching patterns and seasonal hues of slate, walnut, gray green and indigo.

Katin also proudly continues to honor its surfside heritage tradition in each collection by featuring the original K-Man pieces in each line, donning the iconic K-Man graphic atop modern silhouettes.

About Katin:

In the early 1950s Nancy and Walter Katin were in the business of making canvas boat covers. It was upon request from local surfers that they made the first pair of custom canvas surf trunks. Word quickly spread of their ability to withstand the demands of the sea and an industry was born. In 1977, Nancy initiated the annual Katin Pro/Am Team Challenge at the north side of Huntington Beach’s pier, a team event where amateur surfers can compete alongside the pros. Surf legends such as Kelly Slater and Tom Curren have won the Katin Pro/Am. Nancy passed away in 1986, leaving the company to Sato Hughes, her loyal seamstress. Katin continues to take pride in its title as one of California’s first brands to make surf trunks and continues its commitment to selling high-quality, durable goods, both with the iconic surf board shorts and lifestyle apparel, with the same gracious, mellow-hearted attitude since 1954.
